Default Soon to be new Camry owner ...

I'm currently looking at picking up a 2007 v6 SE in black ... heated leather, moonroof, stability control, jbl stereo etc.

I've been driving an 06 Scion xB, which I picked up when I was only commuting 8miles each way to work, and wanted a fun little run around, but now my needs have changed and I have a 50 mile commute, I want something more powerful for the highway and much, much more comfortable, and the Camry seems to fit the bill for me.

The dealership is giving me what I think is a good price ($26, 731), but we've not discussed my trade in price yet, so this could alllll change

So hi. I've got lots of reading to catch up on!

whats up!! im also a new member who wanted the camry se but was going to take to long for the dealer ship to get it. so i settled for the ce, not bad at all but sure the se is much more powerfull. i also have a long comute of 54 miles (one way) and am still wondering if there would of been a big difference in the gas department. but yes, very confortable and the ipod connector is a big plus. let me know how your gas spending goes on that se if u dont mind. if it is not to much a difference i might make that jump to the V6.

I just spent the afternoon in the dealership, wondering if someone could sanity check these numbers for me!

They are offering me between $9k and $10k for my Scion xB. While its only a year old, it has over 26,000 miles on it, it's manual and needs new tires. KBB lists it at 11k, so I'm not too suprised.

The car I'm switching too is a V6 SE, with heated leather, heated mirrors, JBL, moonroof, spoiler, "preffered accessory package". No stability control on this one. It's list price is 26,300, I'm getting it for 26,100.

I still owe about $14k on the Scion, so I'm upside down. As a result my payments are currently around $512 for 72 months, but I'm pushing for $500.

Am I getting ripped off?

Update -

Talked them down to $500 a month, they are putting $10k into my Scion, which is $1k more than they wanted to, and $1k less than I was shooting for. I'm quite happy with that!

Deposit has been put down, and now I just wait for the car to get into the dealership (week of the 23rd!)

Now I get excited

Are there any forums out there specific to the 2006/2007 Camry?

I did it, traded my xB in for an 07 Camry SE V6 this weekend.

Leather, Moonroof, JBL, spoiler, Heated seats and mirrors.

It's a pleasure to drive, pleasure to own. I've already installed my XM radio and GPS, although I need to look into some better cable routing for it. Are there any tutorials on how to get the dash off and splice power cables into the lighter socket out there?
