Default Door Handle

I guess i just wanted to rant and say that my damn door handle just broke off [:@]. I'm pretty sure this has happened to many people who own Gen 3&4 type models, when you open your door and your fingertips seem to slip off sometimes, causing the door handle to slam back into position. Well i guess all that slipage on my handle wore out the plastic and SNAP there goes a piece of the handle flying right past my face! Now i gotta go buy a new handle.

Wow, $99 for a door handle. That's crazy. I need to buy two tomorrow at the junk yard. They better not charge me more than $10 each...

You can actually get them cheaper on ebay also if you want to save money. I've seen loads there, some painted some not. Also you can get them as a set of four for i think 50bucks if im not mistaken. Dont quote me on that though.

Heh, exact same thing happened to me. I actually found a "factory painted" door handle for 30 bucks from a supplier thru amazon.com. Just did a little searching. I replaced myself in an hour with the help of a buddy, got some additional how-to instruction off the internet and voila, good as new. I didn't even bother asking a cost at the dealership, probably $100 and then $100 for labor...? If you do it yourself, just take your time, be patient and don't break anything else!

Looking back it was quite funny actually, because wtf, door handles should not snap like that.

Mine has cracked, but has not broken off completely. I have found pretty good deals on Ebay. Don't buy from the dealer unless you can absolutely not find it anywhere else.
