im new to the site so pardon if this has already been discussed, but does anyone know how many miles you can drive after your gas light goes on. i drive a 93 camry sedan 4 cyl and since the gas gauge always moves when i drive up hills, i never can tell when it really is time to fill up

 

from the time it goes on i can get probably another 50 kms out of it cant be bothered convertin it.

 

I checked this out on my Camry. The fuel tank holds 18.5 gallons, I waited to refuel until the low fuel warning light(yellow) came on then filled the tank with gas. It took 16.5 gallon of fuel to fill the tank,so that means there are about 2 gallons of fuel remaining in the tank of my car when the warning light starts to light up. For my car that is a range of about 48 miles of average driving.

 

I don't usually go on after gas is off to go...
I guess 50 kms or shorter.

 

You can still drive it for about 50km or less. U think that is enough distance to find the nearest gas station

 

DONT EVER DO THIS GO GET GAS you can suck up dirt and stuff in ur fuel pump and you might clog it causing you to buy a new one but to answer you ? about 15 to 20 mile max depeding on ur car
