can anyone tell me what this hose is called?

I have the service manual and while i see it in the picture I cant find it explained.....

also I showed the guy at O'Reilly's and he said I'd have to go to dealer to get..is that right or is there better places to get ?

Where does the hose go? Is it a coolant, air, etc hose?

The engine has a couple of coolant hoses going to the IAC valve mounted on the throttle body.

Also this year of car might have a hose going to the emissions converter under the chassis.

 

Hi ..its not coolant...i think it might be some gas (exhaust) not sure...there is a crack and a little oil has come out and onto spark plug wires.

 

Might be an air injection tube. Follow the tube to determine if it goes to the emissions converter under the car. Would be called air injection tube for converter.

Or an EGR tube. The EGR valve bolts to the back of the cylinder head. Determine if tube comes off exhaust manifold and goes to something having what looks like a short wide can on top of something bolted to the back of the head. Would be called EGR pipe.
