New to forum. Have a 1998 Camry LE that just blew the engine. 155,000 miles. Car is in average condition. My wife rear ended another car about six months ago with it and we chose to fix it. It has a new hood, grill front bumper and radiator. Would like to replace the engine and sell the car. Not sure if the accidenthad anything to do with the engine failing. We purchased the car new and it was dealer maintained.

Anyone have any suggestions where where I might find the best place to find a good engine is? Will sell as-is if I can't find an engine.

Are you going to be doing the work yourself?

Call a few autosalvage yards for prices then add in maybe 10 hours labor cost.

Then compare to street value of the car.

Sometimes Craiglist has local posters parting out totaled car, this might be your cheapest route if you can find something.
