Default 2008 camry hybrid struts

Has anyone had their rear struts wear out after only 25000 miles?

Might also ask at the Toyotanation website in the Camry Hybrid section.

Are the struts leaking?

The repair shop did not say they were leaking, just wearing out. They also said that was why my tires were wearing out unevenly.

Toyota struts had issues with excess fluid leakage but wearing out after 25K is highly uncommon.

How do the tires look, cupped?

Suggest you do an internet search on tire wear issues such as the one below:

HOW TO READ TIRE WEAR

There have been complaints of rapid wear on factory tires.

The struts may be worn out (anything is possible) alas struts are a money maker for shops thus always cautious about someone wanting to do what seems like premature repairs.

Do some research on tire wear issues then compare the drawings/photos you find with the tire wear on the car and read what the likely causes are.

If cupped tires then bad struts can be the cause but cupped tires are rare.
