I have a new (to me) 2008 Toyota Camry Hybrid, and I encountered something odd; when the car turned on the gas light, I went and pumped around 3 gallons of gas. While the gas meter updated, the "Cruising Range" stayed at the low miles left before pumping. So my question is, when does the computer actually recalculate the Cruising Range? Thanks!

 

I have 07. Normal refill is between 12-14 gallons, pending how far I push it. Tank is 15 gall. When light comes up, you have 3 gall left in it.
Do your math. Something ain't right with your gas meter, if you pumped only 3 gall.
Should reset cruising range when you zero odometer.
