215-55-17 Tire on 8" Lexus GS Wheels?
So I have a 2007 Camry with 17x7 wheels from a 2011 ES350 and I am due for new tires so I ordered a set of 215-55-17 (same size I have on there now).
Heres my question and dilema, I can get a set of nice 17x8 wheels from a GS350 and would like to know if a 215 is too small for an 8" wheel and if anyone here can share pics of their Camrys with 215s on 8" wheels.
TIA,
Ed

215 looks good on 7\" wheel, just wondering if the extra half inch of width on each side will make the tire look stretched.

Tire maker recommended max width is 7.5 inch. However these tires have been mounted on 8 inch rims. The issue is some tires mounting shops may have issues doing so.
Ask your proposed tire mount shop this question prior to obtaining the GS rims.

Decided on this.....
So I decided to keep the Lexus ES wheels and put my new 215 55 17s tires on them.... just black them out. I also blacked out the window trim, side mirrors rear spoiler....I think it looks better.
