I got a set of 2010 Maxima 18” rims and they fit if it weren’t for the rear strut. (2000 Camry LE 2.2) No issues in the front. Any ideas on how to solve this? Maybe a spacer to bring the wheel out? I figure a 1/2” all around should do it if that were the case. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Suggest you check the current and new rims for differences in offset. This the location of the flange that bolts to the hub which can be further in or outboard of the outer rim. Find out if the offset difference is the problem.
Spacers are OK to use and 1/2 is not that much of distance. A spacer may be your only option.
There are websites where you can enter the old and new rim specs into a matrix and the output will be noting any differences in clearances. You may need this when it comes time to pick tires which may also have clearance issues..

Thank you for your reply. Even with 225/40 tires the back tires rub. I ordered 1” spacers but by the time they came in(they came first the wrong size and had to reorder) I acquired a 2003 Camry LE. You are right, 1/2” isn’t really anything. After much thought, even with the 1” spacers all around I would still have fairly decent tire Tun in the front before full turn. That exact setup 245/45/18 fits the newer car as if they came from the factory.
here is the old one
