Clean and Adjust Rear Brakes?

Clean and Adjust Rear Brakes?
Took my car in to get some routine maintenance and the maintenance advisor told me that I need to get my rear brakes cleaned and adjusted.
I have a 2004 Toyota Camry LE with drum brakes in the rear. It has almost 75K miles. I haven't noticed any problems with the brakes and I don't know why they'd need to be cleaned. I know that brake dust is normal and as soon as you clean it out you've got more right back on 'em.
Any comments?

RE: Clean and Adjust Rear Brakes?
Rear brake drums which are probably what you have, theydont usually cause much trouble and or maintence. At 75 k a good cleaning and adjustment is all thats needed. Id go ahead and replace them and not have to worry about them for another 75k. But they usually dont wear down and dont need replacing. 100k or so it would be safe to assume that it should be done, and for the price of new brake shoes for drums it should cost you next to nothing .
My advice just get them cleaned and adjusted and have the drums turned.
