Difficulty Of Front Brake Job?
Hello:
Newbie here to ask the establishment about the difficulty of doing a front brake job on a 2003 Camry XLE, 4 cyl. I have performed brake jobs before on Fords, GM, vehicles. Should new rotors always be used with new pads? I previously measured the rotors with a micrometer to check them for thickness. How hard is rotor removal, must the spindle be removed? ( I have not looked at the car yet) Any info or tips would be appreciated. Are ceramic pads worth the extra cost? Thank You!

It all depends on how many mile u have driven the car and how often u use the car for work and so on. For example my 07 camry Le I have brought brand spankin new from the dealer with 0 miles and now I have 53000 miles on it and It was my daily driver and I had brake pulsating at highway speed. I decided to changed all four rotor and brake pads at 53000 miles and not worry about it until 100600 miles later. I did the work myself.
they are pretty str8 forward...Brakes are a walk on the part on most camrys, rotors shouldnt be to bad either, i replaced them on my 05 le at 80k or so, just have to remove the brake caliper and bracket, rotor should just fall off then.
