Exclamation How to Relearn Steering angle sensor camry 2009?

HI every one!
i own Camry 2009 LE
its steering was not centered as front wheels were misaligned. Now the moment I Had Alignment done the steering wheel was centered (obviously). But right after that i started the car and two light TCS and VSC showed up. And then i used monitor to observe codes and code comes out to be: C1231 its related to steering angle sensor and position .
I asked the alignment guy about this and he said he dont know.( maybe he lied)
now my question is how to relearn/reset the steering angle/position sensor?

thanks .. I am waiting for solutions.

When driving, are the warning icon lights constantly on? Or when on a new drive, do the lights stay off for a time, then come on.

You state the steering wheel is now centered when the car is going straight?

For resetting follow the instructions at the link below:

Make sure the car is level, etc. as outlined in the notice prior to the instructions. Don't apply the brake when following procedures.

The instructions are for a 4Runner but the systems are the same.

The cable plug referred to is the OBDII plug under the dash on the left side of the steering column.

You will need to do Items a) and b) as listed in the instructions. Don't think Items 4 and 5 are required.

Surprised the alignment person was not up on this issue as its routine. Maybe they didn't want to deal with it.

A decent shop or large chain store type alignment shop will know all about resetting procedures. They will have a plug-in device which will reset everything with the push of a few buttons. This as part of the alignment service procedure.
