Snow tire sizing
I'm trying to find a set of snow tires for my '96 Camry. The current tires are some generic all-seasons and after driving with them in the snow today I know they're not gonna cut it all winter.
I found a set of 205/75/R14s on craigslist for a good deal, but I have no idea if they'll fit. According to a tire size calculator they're .40 inches wider than OEM and .60inches taller than the OEM tires... so thats a total of 5.22% of a difference in circumference.
Will they rub?
Anyone know exactly which size range will fit the Camry?
Thanks, -Chris

RE: Snow tire sizing
Are the figures you posted the additional overall height and width?
If the same rim offset this would be 0.20 inch on the inside. A tire radius differance of 0.30. I can not see this causing a rubbing or any other problems.
You speedo will be off a little. Google has calculators to compute the amount.
