Question Oil on spark plugs

My check engine light started blinking on and off today & when I stopped at a red light the car started stuttering and shaking. I pulled off and parked to check it out and couldn't see anything physically wrong with the motor. I changed the spark plugs and when I pulled them out, there was oil on 3 of the 4. I cleaned it out & replaced the spark plugs & tried to start the car & it wouldn't turn over. Finally, I was able to get it to start but it continued to shake. Any idea what could be wrong? It's a 2000 Toyota Camry with over 250,000 miles on it (rebuilt transmission about a year ago).

If the check engine is blinking a trouble code(s) is stored, get any codes read out.

A blinking light means the problem can effect the emissions converter health thus get the codes read ASAP and best not to drive the car too much.

Maybe the same shop that did the trans can read out the codes.
