Question TPS or something else

Hello all. I could use some help figuring out what is wrong with my moms car. It is a 2002 Camry V6 automatic.
When we are driving down the road, the car will start jerking when you release the gas pedal to coast with trafic. It will do it between 30-35, 45-50, and around 75 mph. The rpm guage doesn't fluctuate and if you give it a little more gas it stops till you coast to stay with traffic. I found that it does it more once it is warmed up. I have cleaned the throttle body and the MAF sensor.
This all started after we changed the battery. It took forever to get the car to relearn how to idle.
I took it to a mechanic and we unhooked the battery again and he unhooked the tps wires (leaving it unhooked), hooked up the battery and the car cranked right up. But when he hooked the tps back up and reset everything, it still had to learn how to idle properly and I am still having the problem. It is not giving off any codes when hooked up.
Now though, the VSC and TRAC OFF lights come on as soon as the car starts moving.
He thinks the tps is going out. Any sugestions?

Did the lights start coming on after you checked for trouble codes?

They did. They came on after everything was done. They weren't on before.

The type of scanner used may have cause the cars computer to have problems. The steering angle sensor may need to be reset.

See link below and find the manual procedure for this.

On another forum I saw a reference to a Recall for "transmission Stutter". It supposedly is just a computer update. You might check the recall site and see if your VIN shoes up as needing it before you do more work.
