1998 Camry Instrument cluster
Hi, Everyone. I'm new here. What a great forum.
I got a great deal on my '98 Camry on Craigslist and it is now approaching 190 miles. All the sudden, in the last two weeks, lights have gone out on the center console for the A/C and heater controls only. Then the main instrument cluster lights went out, where the tach and speedometer are. Is there any possibility this is just a fuse, or is it more likely the bulbs blew? Assuming it's the bulbs, how difficult is it to disassemble the instrument cluster and the A/C area? Does anyone have a link for instrutions on this?
Thanks so much,

What lights work on dash, how about glove box light?
Tail fuse powers most lights on dash.
Removing the instrument cluster is straight forward, IF you know how. Same with accessing A/C bulbs.
Lots of posts including YouTube videos found under "removing 1998 camry instrument cluster."
For the A/C lights, you need to remove the front bezel around the controls. Then remove control unit to access rear. Search under under removing the radio, as the same bezel needs to be taken off.
Note: Years 1997-2001 should be about the same design.
