Default Flasher Relay

Hey everybody,

I have a 2013 Camry SE V6 & I want to install switchback LED's. I wanted to know if anybody has replaced the flasher relay or knows where it is. I was told that you need to change the relay in order to make the switchback LED's work properly, I believe that is uses a CF18 flasher. Thanks in advanced.

not yet did that, but from my friend's opinion your seem to be right you just need to change the relay.

So, I went to a Toyota dealer to ask about the flasher relay. They looked up the wiring schematics for the flasher relay & it turns out that the flasher relay is built into the gauges for 2013. (I think it's b/c the 2013's have the 3 blink feature now) So, I guess that I can't install the flasher relays. I wanted to maybe find an LED that would keep the parking lights on but when it blinked, that bulb would completely turn off & on rather than just blink, I wonder if I could use a 7440 in there instead of a 7443 but I'm not sure if they would hyper flash even w/load resistors. I guess I still have more research to do...back to the drawing board.

Are you sure the flasher is built into the dash gauges and not just installed into a plug in the gauge area?

Well, that's what the dealer told me b/c I went there to see if they could tell me the location of the relay & they told me that it's now built into the gauges.

Suggest trying the item in the previous post. It installs behinds the gauge area.

Thanks everybody, I will try that. Does anyone live in the New Jersey area that can possibly give me a hand in tearing it apart to see?
