In California, front window tint IS LEGAL, as long as its not darker than 25%. I had my previous vehicle done for under $90 three years ago. I can't post the actual price, but in a little over 2 years and 70,000 miles, it never peeled, bubbled, cracked, or faded. I had a lifetime warranty on the work and it was limo tint.

Don't get ripped off if you don't have to. Make them put a lifetime warranty in writing. If they're willing to do that, they probably do good work.
