Has anyone had their Toyota dealer install the Carplay retrofit on their 2018 Camry? Kind of nervous about letting them touch it.

 

Try asking at Toyotanation.com.

Toyota dealers are good at fixing issues with Entune thus assume they are equally as good at Carplay.

 

I did it. Took me about 30 minutes. I downloaded the upgrade, put it on a potable SSD formatted correctly, followed the instructions VERY carefully:

i wouldnt worry too much about the dealer messing up i would think

also since you can do it yourself, maybe look over some youtube videos too to get a good feel for the install? just like GalacticRaven said follow them carefully
