Default alternator whining/hissing sound

Well, yeah, but I don't really know why you would want that. It is an undesirable problem for many. It usually comes from running unshielded speaker wire too close to a power cable. So if you WANT that horrible whine then, yeah, go for it, run some new speaker wires near a big power cable. Hope I'm not sounding like a prink, cause I don't mean to, I'm just surprised you'd want something that is highly frowned upon in the car audio community. My buddy had that in his Lexus when he took it into Best Buy for a new Head Unit. The techs were too lazy too run the wire correctly so we had to listen to that whine constantly. Both with the stereo on and off.

I am having this problem, except I dont want it.

I have a 2006 Camry SE and got an aftermarket radio put in. I have the upgraded JBL system and when they installed this system, it sounds like that when the sound is off.

They guy at best buy said something about my built in amplifier causing it. I dont know what to do nor do I want to spend money on something stupid.

plz help!!!

Make sure the wiring running for the head to the amp are shielded and the amp grounded.
