Default Cd Changer Problem

My brand new 2008 Camry (77 miles) decided to eat the first Cd that I put in it and has stopped working
with "error #1 showing on the screen. This is a single Cd unit and it will not eject the disk. Toyota will
replace it but I saw at least 44 people with the same problem elsewhere on the net. Is this a common problem?

Thanks
Lisa M. Stewart

Based on the number of postings on the Internet would conclude there is a problem.

Toyota Corp appears not to have a fix or Technical Service Bulletin on this issue at this time. This not uncommon though.

Have the radio replaced. Would assume the new radio would be OK but based on posts if it also fails don't be surprised.

Toyota of course buys their players from a third party in this case it appears to Panasonic.

Some owners just replace the player with one of their own.
