Default Head unit problem

Hi all new to the forum,

Bought my self a new head unit for my camry 98 and decided to do a self installation.
The problem is when i connected the wire harness, the head unit starts to get smoked up from the rear.
I am running out of ideas as to what is causing the problem. Anybody knows what i've done wrong?

you have a short somewhere.. check your fuses. if you see smoke then you might have burnt your head unit.

make sure you plugged in the right harnesses and stuff. I've fried things because i was careless and did a rush job. most likely you've already fried your new head unit, and maybe blew some fuses in the car.
