Instrument Cluster/Fuses? 98 Camry
Hi, does any one happen to know about the instrument cluster lights on a 1998 Camry?
About 2/3 of the lights on the instrument cluster are out, but about 1/3 are still lit. Before I start tearing the dash apart, I wanted to ask about fuses.
Is there one fuse that covers the entire instrument cluster. Or more than one?
The bulbs STILL LIT include Temperature and Fuel gauges (far left), the little lights at the bottom (ABS, green cruise light, etc.), the radio, and the upper lights in the A/C controls.
Lights OUT include main speedo, tach, and the lower A/C controls.
Again, I'm about 90% certain it is the bulbs and not the fuses, but this looks like a full-day job for an FYI amateur like me.
Thank You!

All cluster lights are on same circuit, not sure which fuse.
Climate control lights are on Panel fuse (perhaps same as cluster lights).
Suggest obtaining some kind of service manual. If you have the service info, removing cluster and A/C panels is straight forward.
The cluster bulbs have a plastic twist lock base.
The A/C bulb wiring has various junctions, if new bulb does not work, check for 12V power at bulb socket.

Its bulbs, they are a T-10 Bulb covered in a green rubber gromet to give that green color. You can replace with any colored LED and it will look great. Remove screws from top of cluster bezel and entire speedometer cluster pulls forrward after removing about 4 screws. There are a series of small green caps on the rear twist them remove and replace. If you decide on T-10 LED you might have to remove and reposition bulb for proper orentitation as LEDs are tempermental.
