Default 2011 Camry A.C. issue

Sometimes when I turn on the A.C. it will blown out hot air for a while. After about 5 minutes or so it will finally blow cold air. Feels like a flap is stuck. I've tried turning the **** from cold to hot and back, changing the direction of air flow but it does not affect it. Please help.

Is the AC turning on and working correctly?

Auto or manual controls?

The climate control system uses a "blend" door to mix hot and cold air. The actuator is on the passengers side of the under the dash HVAC console. Determine if you can see the actuator arm move when you adjust temperature.

yes the AC is on and blows cold air once it operates. It is manual control.

The blend door inside the climate control air ducting my be sticking. This door blends hot and cold air to the requested temp. If the door is stuck in the hot position, the outlets will have hot air.

The AC system may be low on Freon. The low Freon resulting in a lag in creating cold air. The pressure can be easily checked with the proper AC gauge set.
