Should I remove the throttle body to clean or leave it on. Also will it require a relearn procedure after said repair is complete.

 

Youtube will have video's on this. Use something labeled as a throttle body cleaner (not brake cleaner). Spray, then use a tooth or bottle brush and wipe clean with paper towel, cloth, etc.

If the battery isn't disconnected there should not be a relearn.

What I learned from doing three throttle body cleans on three different cars is they are all different depending on the age and degree of computerization.

One old car I could easily use my hand to manually clean it. The other said in the manual or maybe it was You Tube to use the gas pedal (car off) to open and close it to clean and not manually move it at all.
