So i pulled a dummy on my first rebuild and removed cams without installing the service bolt on the exhaust cam, how do i re-align the cam?

no replys yet ..after 55 views .. thats unusual

a 2 lt engine used in the 99 model ... I assume it is a 4 cyl ...

and you needed to align the exhaust cam


to help anyone else in the future
... someone may need to add a picture
and maybe if its there some information from that engines repair manual

Hold the long end the of cam (from gears) from rotating. Then rotate the pulley half on the short end of cam clockwise and align service bolt holes. Install bolt.
