Good job on getting the bolt out!

The bolt torque is for the type of bolt used. One can torque it to a lower value.

The smaller bolts as for the converter shield are typically just hand tightened by feel.

I noticed my transmission drain plug kept forming a drop on it over time so I took it out to find a gasket. To my surprise a significant amount of aTF started coming out. I drained it before I took it out. I ended up getting a quart and a half. The only place that fluid could have come from is possibly some from the differential but most would have been from the torque converter. Now I am worried that there won't be enough ATF in the torque converter.

The torque converter can't be drained in car. The fluid must have been from the differential area. If the differential does not have a fill port use the trans dipstick to check fluid.

Make sure the trans does not have a separate differential fill port. If it has separate fill port then use this to add fluid to the differential. If not use the trans dipstick.
