Can a door buzzer be installed if it didn't come as a factory option?
By door buzzer, I'm referring to the module that makes the horn chirp when you lock or unlock your car with the remote. I finally got a remote to work with the car last week, but it is often difficult to hear/see that the car actually locks.
My VIN states that my car comes with the remote and receiver, but not the buzzer. I was able to find it on , but I have no idea if my car even has the hookups for it. Would the buzzer be something that has a hookup, but was just left out in the factory?
Any insight would be appreciated!

Chances are that the car is wired for it if it was an option from the factory.
I would just wire it up myself though because sometimes trying to add stuff creates more problems when using the stock siring system. You might not even need a buzzer. You could just wire the horn to the door lock solenoid so when it locks the horn sounds. Would be funny though if you have doors that automatically lock when you put the car in drive!
Maybe wire to the remote receiving unit wire that sends power to the locking solenoid.
