Hi my friend has a 2008 Camry with power door locks but no keyless entry system.

He's a pretty big cheapo and knows nothing about cars so here I am helping him. Anyone have experience installing a keyless entry system (no alarm or remote start needed). Recommendations on brands/products/where to buy?

yea i saw the cheap ones for the $20 -$40 range. do they work? i noticed some reviews say for certain cars you have to buy a separate modulator to get it to work. do you know if that is needed for the camry?

 

I put one in my '93 camry and I swear by it. It was about $80 from kmart. I then found that they make a plug in harness T that makes most of the connections without splicing any wires (althought there was some soldering involved) Their customer support was great and it still works fine after about 3+ years.
