Default Adding Keyless Entry 2007 Camry CE

I was wondering if it would be possible to add keyless entry to a 2007 Camry CE. I know that aftermarket distributors will add this but I would like to have Toyota do it. It is not listed as an accessory at this point on the web site.

Does anyone know if Toyota might in the future add this as an accessory?

Also, would it be possible to purchase an aftermarket system and find a way to use the key from Toyota (with the controls in the head).

Thanks you in advance for any information.

probably will do it but you need to talk to the dealership.

aftermarkets will use their own remotes, they will not work properly with the toyota version. the one with the controls in the head is for the security system with remote start i believe.

Sorry- don't wanna be the bearer of bad news but its almost never done to have factory remote w/after market keyless and factory ones will cost a fortune if you hadn't tried to bargain that in when you got the car. if you don't have the key with the remote; gotta buy that. itself with cutting and programming will be almost $400. that's just ONE KEY w/REMOTE HEAD. The whole module itself is in a category of its own then comes the installation charge which just gets ridiculous. Grab a Viper550x and that should be around 450 w/installation. really good keyless and pager alarm- 1mile range!!

Toyota does have a key-less entry kit available for Camry CE that came without keyless entry:

Toyota P/N 00016-32901 Retail $116.96

also available is the upgrade kit for the Alarm (this requires that you first get 00016-32901)

Toyota P/N 00016-32907 Retail $149.00

I will recommend the purchase of the Toyota part.

the installation is costly as it requires about 2.5 hours of labour ($350.00 at my dealer) I am installing myself. if you decide to install on your own you may want to get a repair manual to get the proper steps to remove the dash to access the ignition.

the manual to install the keyless entry is available from the link below
