I was wondering if anybody else has had this problem, and found a solution... The drivers side power window on my 96 Camry is temperamental.
You can put it down ok, but it's a gamble whether it's going to go back up again. Sometimes it takes several hours to get it to go back up.
I've replaced the regulator (window motor) and the switch panel, and no change. Also I took the pigtale apart and cleaned the connections. Nothing seems to change, still wont go up when you want it too!

Does the window stick or nothing happens?

If nothing happens do the other windows still work with the drivers switch panel?

 

Doesnt seem to stick, one of the first things I tried when it first started acting up is I 'armoralled' the track, which made no difference whatsoever. Yes, alll the other windows work fine from the drivers' control.

 

For lube try silicone grease or spray.

The console uses the same power source for other windows operated by this panel.

Suggest applying 12v directly to motor wires (green/red) after disconnecting them from switch console. 12v+ at green and 12v- at red may be window up.

Check for 12V +/- at the two console terminals these wires connect to. The switch reverses polarity to change motor direction.

Purple wire(s) are 12+ source power.
