Default Remote Start

I have a 2011 Camry LE I want to install a remote start that uses the factory lock botton. I would like any input from someone who installed one. I found a couple of systems that use the factory botton but will I come across problems my key is a G type. Thanks for your input!

Default Remote Start Install

I installed a Toyota OEM remote start on my 09LE about 5 years ago. The plus is it uses the factory key fob and does not change any other functions. You also do not have to hack into the wiring harness.

The minus is that you basically need line of sight to start the car because the parking lights flash in sequence to let you know when to push/let up on the lock button. Also the range is no greater than the keyless entry.

All that said, I would still install the Toyota over aftermarket.

Difficulty-wise, you need to basically tear all of the dash panels off to access the wiring harnesses. Everything plugs right in as it is a factory system.

I can't attach Toyota installation instructions as the pdf file is too large for forum rules.
