What are the best ways to eliminate the annoying and obnoxiously loud chime when the key is inserted?

I discovered that if you unplug one of the wires near the ignition key cylinder, it will deactivate the chime when the key is in the ACC position. It will still chime with the key in the ON position, but we're halfway there.

I would like to just unplug the chime speaker, if I could find it. Does anyone know exactly where it is located and how to access it?
