02 Sensor Location
Can anyone help me locate the Bank 1, Sensor 2 (downstream sensor) on a 2006 Toyota Camry with the 3.0L tranverse mounted V6 (1MZ-FE)? Also can you confirm that there are only 3 sensors for this engine, 2 before and 1 after?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Look at engine for number of converters. If one converter per cylinder head PLUS another under the chassis could have 5 sensors. One before and after each converter and one down stream of converter under chassis.
Bank 1, Sensor 2 would be the 2nd sensor on the rear cylinder head exhaust system.
Bank 1, Sensor 2 would be the 2nd sensor on the rear cylinder head exhaust system.

Since this is a V6 wouldn't that be 7 sensors? I've never seen a car with that many! Unfortunately this is my daughters vehicle which is 1000 miles away from me so I'm trying to help her without having the opportunity to look at the vehicle myself.

See TSB at link below, page 6 showing 4 sensors but engine could have 5, another behind the TWC. A total of 3 converters, one called a TWC.

If the engine has converters on the exhaust manifold they would look like the item in the link below. The converter is built into the manifold.

The front cylinder head exhaust system should be visible with trunk open. Perhaps she can take phone photos to send you of the area.
