Default 89 Camry starts and dies right away

I have changed the COR and the ECU but nothing has changed. The car will stay running as long as I have the fp jumped to the b+. Check engine light is on with a code 24. Need help please. I don't know where else to go with this.

V6 or 4 cylinder engine?

If a 4 cylinder the MAF sensor has a built in switch that closes when air is drawn through the MAF (engine is running). Unless this switch is closed the fuel pump will not keep running.

The wire from the COR relay to the MAF is Green color, the ground wire from the MAF is White/Black. In order for the COR relay to stay closed this Green wire must be grounded.

Check this switch on the MAF sensor to make sure it is working OK.

Code 24 is intake air temp sensor signal. The sensor is typically mounted on the air cleaner box. Make sure the sensor is plugged into the wiring harness.

It is a 4 cyl 2.0.

Excuse my ignorance, I know where the MAF is, but where is the MAF switch and how can I check it to make sure that it is working properly? Would the MAF be bypassed using the fp to b+? I thought that only bypassed the efi, cor and ecu. I know very little about cars. I have done an extreme amount of research to get this far.

I will check the temp sensor and make sure its plugged in.

For photos of the MAF check link below:

1989 TOYOTA CAMRY Mass Air Flow Sensor

The MAF sensor would be installed between the air cleaner and throttle body.

The MAF switch would be bypassed when using the FP and B+ jumper. The jumper bypasses all fuel pump relays, switches, etc. connecting power directly to the pump.

The AutoZone website may have wiring diagrams in the site vehicle repair guide section. Otherwise suggest a Haynes service manual for the year range, cost around $20.
