I just replaced the engine in a 97 Camry LE. We've hooked everything up all nice & pretty, get in and it won't turn over. It's getting power just not firing off! When ignition is in the on position the alarm starts going off, and I don't have the keyless entry. We've tried sticking the key in the door and turning it, just letting the alarm go off to see if it will crank...NOTHING!! I'm at my wits end with this, but since I just shelled out the cash for the new engine I must get this car running. We're assuming it's the starter killer from the VIP system. I've been told that if I take the car to Toyota there is a code they can put in the radio to fix this...maybe? Is there somewhere online I can download a manual for the security system or get the code?? All I can find is the VIP manual for a Tacoma. HELP!!
