And the defective part may not be monitored for performance by the computer.

I (and perhaps others) are limited to sending only one-liners or the website server resets.

p 14.. is something with the exhaust, check the coolant temp sensor, or the o2 sensor, may just be reading in open loop

Water Temp sensor or its connection (most probable). Fuel pressure.
Throttle position does not matter, while cranking most of engines have their intake pressure equal to the ambient one.
During startup almost all engine parameters are guessed because RPM is too low, very few sensors are used.
