I have a '99 Camry that has 110,000 miles and a crazy alarm. It's really gone nuts after a recent battery change. The alarm was installed by Toyota. I think it was a dealer or Southeast Toyota District installed alarm, not a real Factory alarm. I have looked at other sites and ordered a re-program-the-alarm instructions from Remotes and Keys. Those instructions refer to having to use a valet button to be able to re-program the alarm. My problem is that after taking off the cover panels of the drivers side dash board (under the steering wheel), I don't see any valet button to push to help reset the alarm. I have traced the lead from the alarm light into a larger wiring harness and further to a box. As I said the bad news is I don't see any valet button or pigtail for one. Question, does that mean I have to go back to the Dealer or to an Alarm installer company? Or could I be lucky enough that there could be a valet button hiding under the passenger side dash? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all.
