I have a 97 2.2 that has been misses when accelerating, but runs fine when idling or cruising down the road. I have replaced the spark plugs and wires in the past year. I have also replaced the fuel filter last month with no improvment. I thought it might be the coil but testing the resistance was off on one of the coils so I replaced it. The car still misses but now if I floor it the engine will rev up to the govenor but I lose all power.

Could this be a bad sensor or where should I be looking?
