Default No Low Beams (again)

Hi.

I've got a 99 camry with a couple of electrical issues. Some of this, I think, can be traced to the Negative cable slipping off the rod on the battery.

1) Car has refused to start. The first two times, I jumped it without noticing that the cable was slipping. The process of attaching the cables was pushing it back onto the rod. The third time, I noticed slid the cable back down and it started fine.

2) I have no low beams. On the 99, the low and high beams are separate fuses. I was told it was a 20 amp fuse, but I don't have the manual on this car. So, I checked all the 20 amp fuses I could find and they all seemed fine. When I jumped the car the first time the headlights came on.

2a) I replaced both bulbs 4 months ago. 2 months ago one seemed to die, I replaced it.

3) The panel lights behind the AC controls are out, too.

So, any ideas?

-Chris

Does the car have daytime running lights?

The negative battery cable should be firmly attached to the battery. Have you tried to tighten the bolt?

The running lights ARE on.

In that I can't get the bolt tight enough on the peg, should I (for the time being) wrap the peg it in aluminum foil to get a tight fit? Would this help/solve my headlight issue?

No I think it might be a problem wit the 5th generation accords... Cause my 97 low beams is bad sometime I cant even tell if my lights are on cuase I can barely see them on the road ... but Im just going to get the conversion here in awhile
