Default 94 Camry won't start

There's no voltage to the distributor and the engine check light does not come on when the key is in the "on" position (but not trying to start the car). Does this indicate a bad ECM?

Previously the timing belt broke so I replaced it along with the water pump. The car started immediately upon reassembly. I test drove the car and restarted it several times and all was well. The car sat for 5 days and when I tried to start it there was no spark. I've rechecked the timing and it's right on.

Found the problem - The AM2 fuse was blown in the Fuse & Relay box in the engine compartment. After replacing and blowing another fuse immediately I discovered a post by someone describing the problem to a "T". The post pointed me to the condenser in the distributor located under the coil. The post said to remove the condenser so I did. The new fuse did not blow and the car started and ran perfectly.

The post suggested that the condenser was possibly for noise suppression and based on the availability of a replacement condenser I tend to agree. Autozone, RockAuto, Advanced Auto all showed no condenser for a 94 Camry 2.2L.

I found the same thing after troubleshooting for hours. The capacitor was shorting to ground under high coil voltage. I would replace it however because from what I understand, it cleans up the signal sent back to the ECM for it calculations. An erratic DC signal from the dist. to ECM causes erratic calcs for air/fuel mixture and timing.
