I have a 96 Camry and my tranny surges when put into drive. Also, surges in reverse and low. Took it to a friend and he checked the automatic transmission fluid and described it as burnt. Help!!!!!

Change all the trans fluid and determine if this helps.

If not, the issue may require taking the trans out for repair.
