tranny issues?
i have a 93 v6 LE. just the other day, i was driving and slowed down to let a car into my lane. when the other car got into the lane, i proceeded to accelerate and it wouldn't go. the rpm simply revs. i park the car for about 10-20 minutes and the car can drive again for about 1/4 of a mile then the engine will rev again and not drive or even go into reverse. i let the car sit for another 10-20 minutes and was able to drive again...i repeated this until i got home. PLEASE HELP...could it be a issue with the tranny or something else?

It sounds like a transmission problem. I am assuming it is an automatic transmission. Check the simple things first.
Check your transmission fluid.
Is your transmission fluid level good?
Does your transmission fluid look clear or dirty looking?
If it is dirty, then you might want to change the transmission filter and fluid. You might want to change it if it was only low fluid, just to be on the safe side.
If that doesn't clear it up, then you might want to take it to a transmission shop to have a diagnostic run on it. Most of the time transmission shops will do one free of charge.
If you have a bigger problem than a low fluid level, it will probably be around $1600.00 to rebuild. I just asked for a ball park figure on that same transmission. I almost fell over....I went to a junk yard and bought a used unit with 150K on it with a 60 day warranty for $500. Much easier on the wallet. I found, in my area (Charleston, SC), the junk yards charged $500-$750 with a 30-60 warranty.
I hope this helps.
