Sounds like the idle air control (IAC) valve needs cleaning. This valve uses bypass air around the throttle plate to adjust engine idle.

To access remove the large plastic air intake pipe connected to the throttle body. Look inside the throttle body at the body to see a rectangle slot, this is the air intake for the valve.

Obtain a can of spray throttle body cleaner from the auto parts store. The one that comes with a small attachable spray hose. Make sure the cleaner is safe to use with O2 sensors, catalytic converters and plastics (the valve is plastic).

Find the throttle pulley on the side of the throttle body. Start the engine and using the pulley operate the engine at a high RPM while you spray cleaner into the slot. Use a little at a time or you will stall the engine.

Does it really matter what toyota calls it? The function and maintenance are whats important. And if you look on ebay, you'll still find it as IAC:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOYOT...spagenameZWDVW

And unless you're theo ne who designed it and named it, what does it matter to you anyways? Why do you feel the need to insult people you dont know? And I checked that thread you left, I saw your jap honda and the civics, but wheres ur camry?
