Install 2000 camry 2.2 in a 97 camry
Has anyone ever installed a 2000 camry 2.2 engine in a 97 camry? I would like to know if it is plug and play or if I will need to change out the harness, ecu, or any sensors. Any help would be appreciated.

The 2000 had different fuel injectors, IAC valve, EVAP system, intake air tube design.
Might swap complete throttle body.
If changing injectors take note all 4 on an engine may not be the same, note the color.
To check sensors, compare part numbers at sites such as rockauto.com and swap if required.
Don't change the ECU as it is also trans, year and emissions specific.
