Default my 91 camry wont start! somebody help

i degreased my motor

drove it 4 feet out of the car wash and then died, and then i had it towed to a friends house where he cleaned the spark plugs and the cap n rotor and then it turned on, then i replaced the distributor but took it off and put the old one back on since we felt the distributor was still good.. and then i drove it home then the car wouldnt start up anymore.. i replaced the ignitor that i got from a wrecking yard and still nothing?.. can somebody help me any other suggestions?

If the problem started after degreasing and you used water to wash the engine down engine water and chemicals may have gotten into the various electrical plugs.

Take each electrical plug apart and spray both ends with a water displacing fluid such as WD-40 or electrical contact cleaner.

if it worked with the new distributor cap then whyd you put the old one back on??? You baffle me. It got wet, happened to me when i was mudding and went through a puddle/lake that was to deep.just make sure the new one is dry and put it back on son.
