Default OBD1 Error code 22. Please help?

I have a 1995 2.2 LE and yesterday after driving about 35 miles it started to run hot, but had no CEL. Then I noticed that the fans weren't coming on. When I unplugged the ECT switch for the fans, they'd come on. So I replaced the switch (At the bottom of the radiator) and the sensor (At the top of the engine https://youtu.be/66w3XB8fiwI <-- That one.) but now I have a CEL and the fans still won't come on. When I plugged the OBD in, it gave me error code 22, which is the sensor.
Please help me?

Do the fans come on when the A/C compressor works?

If you have the old switch. Place in heating water. It should open at approx 199F.

Code 22. There is an open or short in the coolant temp sensor wiring, a bad sensor or bad ECU. Check wiring and sensor resistance.
