Default Problems Starting Engine

I have a 2000 Camry V6, about 160K, and it's having trouble starting. Right when I start my engine, instead of the RPM meter landing at normal idle, the RPM meter just drop down to 0 RPM and the engine is completely cutoff; at times it drops down to 100 RPM, the motor begins to shake and dies. After about one or two more starts, the engine goes back to normal operation.

In the past, the problem only comes up once in a while, but now it has become more of a common thing. Anyone experienced this before? I need help on this badly and it's driving me crazy. HELP!
