I've recently swaped my 1992 camry engine and trans. for a 1994 camry engine and trans. I've had it on the road for 2 weeks it runs fine the transmission shifts ok but the first time I start the car up for the day, and i take a left hand turn or i hit a bump the transmission slips and catches right away,this hapens every day once a day only at start up, if I turn it on go around the block it does it. But after that theres no problem no more.

 

If this happens when going over bumps might be an electrical problem. The wiring to the trans gear selector switch or shift solenoids.
