12v Battery Replaced
2013 TCH
367,000.00 miles
A few days ago my car wouldn't start. Gave it a jump and started the search for a replacement. After shopping around I purchased an OEM Panasonic replacement part number: 28800-28100 for $300.00
Prior to replacing the 12v battery, when I filled the tank my cruising range would read 460 miles.
After replacing the

my cruising range reads 600+ miles, After filling the tank.
If memory serves me, I think that is what it was reading when the car was new.
Does a bad or "going bad" 12v battery have that much negative impact on cruising range?
Also, my car/battery didn't appear to have a heat sensor. Was a heat sensor not included on 2013 TCH model/year?
Thanks.

If the battery is going bad, then the alternator regulator will adjust its output and put more load on the cars engine, leading to lower fuel economy. Also i want you to consider that when you replaced the battery you may have reset the car's ECU parameters and thus the ECU is relearning the car's engine and this may adjust its operating parameters. Not too sure about the heat sensor thing
